Police say they have laid additional charges against a suspect in connection with residential break-ins in Elliot Lake.

Yesterday the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested a suspect in connection with a break-in on Lakeview Road on Jan. 2.

Today, police said the same person has been arrested in connection with a break and enter at a house on Axmith Avenue on Dec. 27.

Numerous items were also stolen in the Axmith Avenue break-in, police said in a news release.

Dale Boyer, 49, of Elliot Lake was charged with break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence.

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on Jan. 3.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Boyer is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
