FERGUS, ONTARIO, CANADA — A 31-year-old man is dead and a provincial police officer is in hospital after an incident in Fergus, Ont., on Sunday. The Special Investigations Unit has been called in and launched a probe into the incident.

Ontario is reporting 511 COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths from the virus on Sunday. Health Minister Christine Elliott says 350 of the infected people are unvaccinated and 67 people are partially immunized.
