EDMONTON — Detroit's backup goalie proved to be more than up for the task for the Red Wings on Sunday. Petr Mrazek made 36 saves and Martin Frk and Anthony Mantha each had a goal and an assist as the Red Wings beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-0.

VANCOUVER — As the media descended on Brock Boeser in the Vancouver Canucks locker-room following his first NHL hat trick, goalie Jacob Markstrom sat a few stalls away teasing the young winger.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Rookie Clayton Keller scored in regulation and the shootout, helping Antti Raanta and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 on Saturday night. Raanta had 36 saves in Arizona's second win of the season.

LOS ANGELES — Viktor Arvidsson scored on a breakaway at 4:40 of overtime, lifting the Nashville Predators to a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night. Miikka Salomaki, P.K.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A fortunate bounce and a splendid shootout move are what it took for the San Jose Sharks to finally get some pucks past Ryan Miller.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Joonas Donskoi scored the deciding goal in the sixth round of the shootout and the San Jose Sharks rallied for their season-high fourth straight win, beating the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 on Saturday night.

ST. LOUIS — Alex Pietrangelo is off to an outstanding start. Same for the St. Louis Blues. Pietrangelo scored twice, Brayden Schenn had four assists and the Blues beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-4 on Saturday night.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — For a team not scoring a lot of goals, the Blackhawks are managing just fine — thanks to Corey Crawford.

WINNIPEG — Max Pacioretty was glad the Montreal Canadiens didn't get down on themselves this time. The captain scored a power-play goal at 3:07 of overtime to give the Canadiens a 5-4 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.

PHILADELPHIA — The Colorado Avalanche stopped shooting pucks off the post and started firing shots off opponents. It produced two goals and eventually a third straight victory.
