NEW YORK — Vancouver Canucks defenceman Erik Gudbranson will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday after a boarding major against the Boston Bruins. The department tweeted about the hearing early Friday morning.

DENVER — Robert Bortuzzo took full responsibility for plowing into his own goaltender to set up an easy and momentum-swinging goal for Colorado. The St. Louis defenceman made up for it minutes later with the sealing goal.
