The small town of Iron Bridge is buzzing with excitement as it prepares for its 9th Annual Music Fest on Saturday, June 17. The highly anticipated event promises a day filled with music, food, and non-stop entertainment from 2 p.m. until midnight. With an impressive lineup of talented bands from all over Northern Ontario, attendees can expect musical performances spanning various genres.
"People should come out for the fabulous music, food, and fun," says Jane Armstrong, the president of the Iron Bridge Agriculture Society, which hosts the event.
Kicking off the festivities is the renowned group Women in Song from Blind River; other performers include traditional country band Back in Tyme, Tapestry, Brendan Hodgson, Mark Tarantini, Flathead Ford, classic rock band Drive and 80’s rock band Mid Life Crisis. Hailing from Iron Bridge, Just Friends will also showcase their fusion of country, rock, and Cajun tunes.
The Iron Bridge Music Fest has been a community tradition since 2012, offering a platform for talented musicians to shine and delight audiences.
"There is honestly something for everyone, and your presence will support the Iron Bridge Agricultural Society, a volunteer group that organizes community events like the Iron Bridge Fall Fair," Armstrong says.
Festival attendees not only get to enjoy a day filled with music but also contribute to the community's growth and well-being. The festival serves as a fundraiser for the Fall Fair, allowing it to remain accessible to all through free admission or donations.
"We work tirelessly throughout the year to organize events like the Music Fest and appreciate the unwavering support of our businesses and communities," adds Armstrong. "Your presence at this event helps us continue our mission of providing enriching experiences for everyone."
