SABLES-SPANISH RIVERS TOWNSHIP - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person for drug related offences after a search warrant was executed.
On Sept. 14, 2023 shortly after 12 p.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP, executed a search warrant at a business on Sable Street in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
Police located cannabis, psilocybin, as well as unmarked cigarettes.
As a result of the investigation, Victoria Nicholson, 49 years old from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, was arrested and charged with:
• Unlawfully sell cannabis
• Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purpose of selling it
• Possess schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possess unmarked cigarettes for sale
• Possess a quantity of unmarked cigarettes
• Possess property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused was released following a bail hearing on Sept. 15, 2023, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Oct. 3, 2023.
