On March 24, 2022 at approximately 10:37 a.m. the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of stolen property from a motor vehicle on First Street in Webbwood.
Investigation revealed that between the evening of March 23, 2022 and morning of March 24, 2022 the complainant's vehicle was broken into and numerous items were stolen.
Josiah Hamelin, 22-years-old from Webbwood was charged with:
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on May 2, 2022.
