On June 6, 2021, a bench warrant was issued for an individual who failed to attend court on June 3, 2021 in the Town of Blind River.
On Aug. 8, 2021 shortly after 9 p.m., members from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested the outstanding person on Government Road (Massey Bridge) in the Town of Massey and was transported to Blind River Detachment.
As a result, Randall Aalto, 33 years of age from Webbwood, was charged with:
- failure to attend court while on release order, contrary to section 145(2) of the Criminal Code.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Video Bail Court in Blind River on Aug. 9, 2021.
