VIDEO: $46K worth of boat motors stolen in Blind River

Four outboard motors were reported stolen from two businesses sometime overnight on October 25

Police hope to identify the suspects responsible for the theft of four outboard motors from businesses located in Blind River.

The theft incidents occurred sometime overnight on Oct. 25.

Full text of a news release issued by Crime Stoppers follows:

Crime Stoppers and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect(s) involved in two incidents of theft.

Sometime overnight on Oct. 25, 2021, suspects attended Carlson Brothers Ltd. and Blind River Boat Works in the Town of Blind River and removed two Honda outboard motors and two Yamaha outboard motors from three different boats. Approximate value of the four motors is $46,000.

Description of the motors are:
    •    2018 Honda Outboard 225hp Serial # BABJ1804111
    •    2018 Honda Outboard 9.9hp Serial # BAGJ1700267
    •    2020 Yamaha Outboard 60hp Serial # 6CL1034197
    •    2016 Yamaha Outboard 40hp Serial # 6BG1055683
