On Sept. 6, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an unwanted person at a residence on Laprairie Crescent in Elliot Lake.
The complainant reported an intoxicated family member causing damage in the residence and refusing to leave. Police attended and spoke to the person in an attempt to reason with them. However, they continued to be uncooperative and assaultive towards police. The person was subsequently arrested and charged.
Ronald Webster, 31 years old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:
- mischief - destroys or damages property
- resist peace officer
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Oct. 10, 2023.
