A Sudbury resident has been charged after being left behind in Blind River while travelling through the area.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday after receiving a complaint that an individual was left behind and was at a local coffee shop.

Police say that further investigation determined that the person had no money, phone, or a way to get back home to Sudbury.

The person was subsequently arrested for breaching curfew and weapons conditions.

Vincent Brooks, 18, of Sudbury is facing two counts of failure to comply with release order-other than to attend court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code
