Tractor-trailer driver caught without a licence

The driver faces two provincial offence notices

BLIND RIVER - On Jan. 22, 2019, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River.

Shortly before 9 p.m., police observed a tractor trailer parked in a live lane of traffic. A driver's licence query revealed the male driver was unlicensed.

As a result of the investigation, Marco Ravlic, 25 years of age from Peace River, B.C. was issued two provincial offence notices and charged with:

  • Drive commercial motor vehicle - no licence, contrary to section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA); and with
  • Interfere with traffic, contrary to section 170(12) of the HTA.
