Third suspect arrested in relation to Paris Drive break-in

On Feb. 3, 2022, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested another person in relation to the break and enter at a business on Paris Drive in Elliot Lake.

The break and enter occurred in the early morning of Jan. 16, 2022. Two people were arrested and charged on Jan. 18, 2022. On Feb. 3, 2022, police attended an apartment complex on Beckett Boulevard and arrested another person involved. 

William Sinclair, 51 years old of Elliot Lake, was charged with:
    •    break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)
    •    disguise with intent, contrary to section 351(2) of the CC
    •    possession of break in instruments, contrary to section 351(1) of the CC
    •    mischief over $5,000, contrary to section 430(3) of the CC
    •    possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 - In Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
    •    theft under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on March 1, 2022.
