Thessalon driver charged following traffic complaint

The driver was arrested and charged after police found the vehicle a short time after the intiial complaint

A driver from Thessalon has been charged after officers with the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint on Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to a report of a driver operating a car while suspended on Algoma Street in Thessalon.

Officers found the car a short time later on Main Street and pulled along side the vehicle after it pulled into a parking lot.

The driver, 61-year-old Michel Fortin, was subsequently arrested and charged with operation while prohibited after an investigation.
