Robbery victim returns home to find four people taking stuff from his house: OPP

MISSISSAUGA FIRST NATION - On March 11, 2020, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Blind River Detachment responded to a robbery at 81 Village Rd. within the Territory of Mississauga First Nation.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim arrived home and observed two males and two females walking up his driveway carrying items from inside his residence. Property taken [includes] a television and three other electronic devices. The victim managed to retrieve his television from one of the suspects.

On the afternoon of March 19, 2020, police located the outstanding property at a residence on Mountain Glen Avenue in the Town of Blind River.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of Mississauga First Nation Police Service.

As a result of the investigation, Danny Mark Bouillon, 23 years of age from the Municipality of Huron Shores, Ont. was charged with:
    •    Robbery with theft, contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC);
    •    Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the CC;
    •    Uttering threats - cause bodily harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC; and with
    •    Break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC.  

Lisa Tanner, 43 years of age, from Mississauga First Nation, Ont., was charged with:
    •    Robbery with theft, contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC);
    •    Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the CC;
    •    Break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC.

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on June 4, 2020.
