On March 21, 2018, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of the presence of a wanted male on Philip Walk in the City of Elliot Lake, Ont.
Police attended and investigation revealed that the male had been in contravention of numerous release conditions. As a result, the male was arrested and charged.
David Jenkins, 27 years of age of Elliot Lake, Ont. was charged with:
- Fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Fail to comply with probation order (two counts), contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, Ont. on March 22, 2018.
