Police search for vehicle that crashed into fence in Blind River

Debris left behind from the vehicle is believed to be from a black 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee, police say

BLIND RIVER - On April 7, 2022, members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of single motor vehicle collision that occurred sometime overnight at a property at 162 Woodward Ave. in the Town of Blind River.

Investigation determined a vehicle was northbound on Woodward Avenue and did not initiate a curve in the road. The suspect vehicle collided into a wrought iron fence at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Park Street. The suspect vehicle left the scene leaving behind debris that is believed to be from a 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee, black in colour or could have a black bumper. The suspect vehicle will have damage to the right front corner and damage to the front wheel well area as well.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this fail to remain collision should immediately contact the East Algoma OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
