Police think Elliot Lake perfume thieves hit the Sault and Sudbury as well

Thunder Bay could be next

The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police believe that a trio of people who hit a business in Elliot Lake last Saturday also hit retail stores in Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury.

Around 2:20 p.m. on June 24, police say three people entered a store on Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake and, while two of the individuals distracted an employee, the third took more than $1,000 worth of cologne and perfume.

All three were caught on surveillance.

Police believe the trio committed similar thefts in Sudbury on June 23 and Saut Ste. Marie on June 25 and that they may be traveling to Thunder Bay.
