OPP asks for public help in connection with grocery theft

Hundreds of dollars worth of items taken from store on Hillside Drive South, police said

East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are requesting public assistance after several hundred dollars in groceries were stolen from a store on Hillside Drive South in Elliot Lake.

On June 26 at about 7:30 p.m. two people came into the store and filled a cart with groceries, according to a news release. They then put the items in a packsack and grocery bag as they walked around and left store without paying, the release added. Two people of interest were caught on surveillance camera and police are looking to identify them.
