Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Highway 6 crash

Two-vehicle collision remains under investigation

ESPANOLA - On Friday, June 28, 2019 at approximately 6:36 p.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Highway 6 near Gravelle Road, in Curtin Township, Ont.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. The collision is currently under investigation. Highway 6 was reduced to one lane for approximately four hours.

With an increase of holiday traffic, the Manitoulin OPP would like to remind motorists to slow down and take their time. Let's make this a safe and happy holiday weekend!
