The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is looking to identify the people responsible for killing a bull moose near the mouth of the Mississagi River in the Blind River area.

After a number of complaints, Conservation Officers responded to the area on Oct. 5, found the animal, and determined that it had been "shot and abandoned a few days earlier," says a news release issued by the MNRF.

Anyone with information that could lead to the identification of those responsible is asked to contact Conservation Officer Duncan Hill by phone at 705-280-8678, the main MNRF toll free tip line at 1-877-847-7667, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
