Man wanted for murder on Manitoulin Island was arrested in March: OPP

Police say arrest information was kept from public 'for the integrity of the investigation'; Prince Almando Graham, 38, remains in custody

Prince Almando Graham, a 38-year-old from North York, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder March 15, 2023 in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of Brandon Brooks, who died on April 5, 2022 in a shooting on M'Chigeeng First Nation.

In an email, the Ontario Provincial Police said it only made this information public today "for the integrity of the investigation." The OPP also confirmed in an email today that the accused appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice June 14 in Sudbury.

The United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Anishnaabe Police Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit, the North East Region OPP Forensic Identification Service, the North East Region OPP Emergency Response Team and the North East Region OPP Community Street Crime Unit, are continuing this investigation under the direction of the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
