BALDWIN TOWNSHIP - On Nov. 15, 2022 at approximately 9:50 a.m., the Manitoulin (Espanola) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a family dispute that occurred earlier that morning on Hardwood Road in Baldwin Township.
The investigation revealed that two individuals were assaulted after a verbal argument ensued. Police also learned that one individual on various dates prior to that morning.
Travis Roberts, 43 years old from Baldwin Township, was charged with:
• Assault (eight counts), contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC)
• Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle (two counts), contrary to section 267(c) of the CC
The accused was arrested, held for Bail Court, and remanded into custody.
