A 69-year-old man from Elliot Lake was arrested Saturday in connection with an indecent act occurrence at Spine Beach, according to a news release from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police.
On July 8, 2023, at approximately 1:15 p.m., police responded to a complaint about a person "pleasuring and exposing himself," the release said. Witnesses also reported this was the same man who was at the beach on July 3 doing the same thing, but he left before police arrived, the release added.
When police arrived on July 8 they saw the man putting his pants on, the release said. The uncooperative suspect was subsequently arrested, the release said.
John Sheran was arrested and charged with two counts of indecent act - public place.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on July 9.
