LITTLE CURRENT - The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) want to remind the public to adapt their driving to the road or weather conditions. The OPP has responded to an increase of motor vehicle collisions over the last several days.

Motorists are reminded to plan on extra time for winter travel and delay their trip in severe weather conditions. In order to increase visibility, motorists should use their vehicle's full lighting system in low-light and bad weather conditions. Always clean snow and ice off your vehicle's windshield, rear window, side windows, hood, trunk and rooftop.

To check on road conditions before your trip, dial 511. The Ministry of Transportations Traveller Information Services provides road information for provincial highways in Ontario by telephone at 511 or online with accessible information on the MTO Ontario 511 website at: www.ontario.ca/511.
