ESPANOLA - On Jan. 26, 2022 at approximately 11:42 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter on Arthur Court.
The complainant reported that they heard a sound of someone in their home. Police attended and located a person nearby. After investigation, they were arrested and charged.
Jacob Florean, 34 years old from Espanola, is charged with:
• break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
• trespassing at night, contrary to section 177 of the CC
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on March 7, 2022.
