Espanola man accused of stealing a vehicle

ESPANOLA - On Nov. 13, 2019, at approximately 1:17 p.m., members from the Manitoulin (Espanola) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a stolen vehicle in the Town of Espanola, Ont.  Information was received that the vehicle had since been located in the City of Sudbury.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Kristofor Siren, age 35, of Espanola.

On Nov. 20, 2019, the accused was arrested by the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) and charged by the OPP with:

  • Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle contrary to section 334(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)

The accused was released on a promise to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Dec, 16, 2019.
