Espanola driver charged following collision

ESPANOLA - On Dec. 21, 2019 at approximately 3:13 p.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Centre Street in Espanola, Ont.

A vehicle travelling north bound was struck by a vehicle leaving a business on Centre Street in the Town of Espanola. There were no injuries reported. As a result of the collision, a 74-year-old from Espanola was charged with:
    •    Traffic on through highway, fail to yield, contrary to section 136(2) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)

The Manitoulin OPP would like to remind motorists to take their time, and pay attention to other traffic. Please slow down and give yourself extra time to get to your destination.
