The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a driver following a fatal crash north of Webbwood shortly after 9 p.m. on June 4.
Cole Chisholm, a 25-year-old from Mindemoya, Manitoulin Island, was charged with dangerous operation causing death, states a news release issued by the OPP today.
The accused is schedule to appear in court on Sept. 12 in Espanola.
“Investigation revealed that the vehicle had rolled and a passenger of the vehicle was ejected. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Espanola resident Jordan Anstey.
OPP was assisted in this investigation by the North East Region Emergency Response Team and Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services.
