Domestic disturbance leads to break and enter, mischief charges

ESPANOLA - On Monday, March 25, 2019, at approximately 12:25 a.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the North East Region OPP Canine Unit (K9), and the North East Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, Ontario.

As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old male from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, Ontario has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter Dwelling House - Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
  • Mischief Under $5,000 - three counts, contrary to section 430(4) of the CC.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on March 25, 2019.

His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
