SPANISH - On Jan. 23, 2018 at approximately 9:42 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service on Doyle Avenue in Spanish, Ont.
The complainant reported that she had made a deal with man to trade her trailer and money for the man's chip wagon. When it came time to pick up the chip wagon, the complainant was not satisfied with the condition of it. After further police investigation, it was learned that the signature on the ownership for the trailer was not that of the original owner's.
(Charge withdrawn), 35 years of age, from Blind River, Ont., was charged with:
- Use, deals, acts on forged document, contrary to section 368(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Make forged document, contrary to section 367 of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River, Ont. on March 1, 2018.
