Break-in investigation leads to numerous charges for Espanola woman

ESPANOLA - The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have responded to several break and enters from April 21, 2022 to April 24, 2022 in the Town of Espanola. As part of the ongoing investigation, one person has been arrested.

Jessica Remillard, 30 years old from Espanola, was charged with:
    •    Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) (four counts)
    •    Possession break in instruments, contrary to section 351(1) of the CC
    •    Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on June 6, 2022.
