Blind River man subject of Wawa impaired driving investigation

Police say the accused refused to provide a breath sample

A Blind River resident face an impaired driving related charge after Superior East OPP responded to a traffic complaint near Wawa on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop initiated on Highway 101 approximately 30 km east of Wawa.

Responding officers “determined the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. During the interaction, the driver refused to provide a breath sample to police,” says a news release issued by OPP.

As a result of this investigation, 34-year-old Kyle White of Blind River stands charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 3.

“The accused was also issued a 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.”
