On June 8, 2021, a bench warrant was issued for an individual who failed to attend court in the City of Elliot Lake on April 6, 2021.
On Aug. 8, 2021 shortly after 5 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police OPP arrested the outstanding person on West Street in the Town of Blind River.
As a result, Morgan Armstrong, 30 years of age from Sault Ste. Marie, was charged with:
• failure to attend court while on release order, contrary to section 145(2) of the Criminal Code
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice video bail in Blind River on Aug. 8, 2021.
