WHITFIELD, Ralph Irwin
April 21, 1949 – November 10, 2023
With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, in his 75th year. Married the love of his life, Earline (nee Goodmurphy) at the age of 21 on May 16, 1970, with children following shortly after. Ralph is reunited with his cherished daughter Frances and grandson Craig. Loving and supportive father of Ann Irwin (Frank), Dennis (Leslie) and Tanya Simons (Travis). Proud grandfather of Cale, Hunter, Britney, Lauren, Mackenzy, Michael, Bridgette and Rebecca and great grandfather of twin girls Rita and Remi. Special grampa of Eliza and Lennon. Brother and best friend of Stanley (Deby), Bruce (Sharon), Brian (late Vickie, Jean), Douglas (Cindy), Gayle (John), Roger (Lorna), Steven (Heather), Terry (Heather) and Tereasa (Sean). Predeceased by his parents Irwin and Lillace, brother Lyle and lifelong friend Ted Miller. Ralph will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ralph started working in the bush at age 8 with his dad, uncle Howard and brother Stan. He worked in the bush most of his life later moving onto carpentry work with Ron Smith, Ed Pigeau and his brother Brian. His hobbies were hunting and fishing with friends and family. He loved playing baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays and eating ice cream.

The family also wish to thank Ralph’s sister Tereasa, sister in laws Heather, Sandra and Heather as well as his niece Michelle for all the extra time spent caring for Ralph. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ralph on Saturday, November 18, 2023, between 1pm – 4pm at Little Rapids Hall (Old School House).
