It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father. Dad died peacefully at St.Joseph’s General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Saint-Léonard-de-Portneuf, Québec. He came to Elliot Lake in the late 50’s to work in the mines and was a hoistman at Denison Mines for many years. He raised four children with his spouse Laurence (pre-deceased) and made life long friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his houseboat and had great times cruising Dunlop Lake with family and friends. Dad played the accordion, harmonica and loved a great party. He was known for his beaming smile, sense of humour, hearty laugh and kind heart. He had a passion for cribbage and brought home a few trophies.
Loving father of Christiane Kennedy (Tom), Sylvie Lundy (André), Mario Trudel (Sharron) and Michel Trudel. Pappy to eight grandchildren and great-grandfather of five. Beloved brother of six brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s General hospital and Dr. Groh for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to all of the staff at Huron Lodge who assisted Paul in his apartment for over ten years. You were his family.

C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de notre père. Dad est décédé paisiblement à l’hôpital général St-Joseph entouré de sa famille aimante. Il est né à Saint-Léonard-de-Portneuf, Québec. Il est venu à Elliot Lake à la fin des années 50 pour travailler dans les mines. Il a travaillé pendant de nombreuses années à Denison Mines. Il a élevé quatre enfants avec son épouse (pré-décédée) Laurence et s'est fait des amis pour la vie. Il était un passionné de plein air. Il a apprécié son « houseboat » et a passé de bons moments sur le lac Dunlop avec sa famille et ses amis. Dad jouait de l'accordéon, de l'harmonica et adorait un bon «party». Il était connu pour son sourire radieux, ses farces, éclats de rires et son grand cœur. Il avait une passion pour le crib et a remporté quelques trophées.
Père bien-aimé de Christiane Kennedy (Tom), Sylvie Lundy (André), Mario Trudel (Sharron) et Michel Trudel. Grand-père de huit et arrière-grand-père de cinq. Frère bien-aimé de six frères et deux sœurs.
