Clear Blue Sky – Mi ja Quad

November 8, 1951 – October 29, 2022

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard, after a short illness at NSHN-Blind River, age 70. Beloved son of the late Blanche and Ronald Theberge. Treasured husband of Jean (nee Tremelling). Loving father of Daniel (Ashley), Paul (Meghan) and Eric (Julie). Proud Papa of Emily, Nickolas, Chloe, Ella, Evie and Ethan. Brother of the late Julie Running (late Gordon), late Maurice (Terry), late Joyce Fournier (Claude) and Rachel Bourassa (late Garren). Son-in-law of the late Evelyn and James Tremelling. Brother-in-law of John Tremelling (Pam) and Jennifer Jackson (late Keith). Leonard will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Leonard was a proud man who had a strong work ethic. He was a skilled carpenter by trade and a well-respected superintendent working all over Northern Ontario and Manitoba managing large infrastructure projects.

He had a deep love for the outdoors, mentoring his boys and teaching them everything he knew. He was extremely proud of his three boys and the men they have become.

Leonard and Jean both agree that it was love at first sight for both. He built the family home near to where Jean was born and raised because he wanted her to be close to her roots. Throughout their 46 year commitment to each other they raised their family and welcomed their beloved grandchildren into their home.

Leonard struggled with Parkinson’s Disease and the last years were made easier because of the great care he received from our Stephanie, Theresa and Celina who became like family. You are the best.

The family wishes to thank the hospital staff for their excellent care and compassion.

Per Len’s wishes there will be no services.

“Jean had enough of driving the boat. Len, you get to go fishing with Maurice and your dad now.”

 John 14:2-4

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
