It is with great sorrow that the family of Claude Tetreault announces his passing on February 7, 2022, in his 85th year.
Claude spent 60 wonderful years with the love of his life, his wife Merlyn, and was so proud of his three children, Terry Tetreault (Jana), Lisa Hern (Ken) and Ben Tetreault (Beth).
Claude dearly loved his grandchildren Natasha and Vanessa, Jacob and Nicholas, and Cody and Dana, and was delighted by his great-grandchildren, Autumn, Amriek, Aaryan and Misha.
Claude was predeceased by his parents, Felix and Mary Claire and by his siblings, Réné, Leo and Roger. He is survived by his sisters, Simone, Marcille, Madeline, Therese and Annette, and by his sister-in-law, Judy Grexton, and his brothers-in-law, Sam (Linda) Lawrence and Ben (Marney) Lawrence.
Claude came to Thessalon from Quebec in 1959 with two of his brothers, Leo and Roger, to share their expertise in the running of the local veneer mill. Soon after the move, he met and married Merlyn and they were very happy to raise their family in her hometown. Claude retired after 40 years of service at the mill, giving him more time for woodworking, ATV riding, and relaxing with Merlyn at their camp on Cooper Lake. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A private celebration of Claude’s life will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Shore Health Network Auxiliary - Thessalon Site would be greatly appreciated.
