With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Wilfred Stenschke who left us peacefully and unexpectedly at the age of 74 on October 13, 2022. Wilfred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janise (Jan) and their treasured children Rob (Rosa) and Christina (Cory) and his cherished grandchildren Monica (Tyler), Madison, Cailyn (Cade), Kennedy (Tyler), Anna, Maverick and Matthew, and his adored great grandchildren Mercedes, Tayler, Jack, Lenyx and Levi.
He was a long time resident of Elliot Lake who worked as an electrician at Rio Algom.
His life was full of adventure. His undying, unwavering, heartfelt dedication and devotion to his family should be an example to all. He exemplified the true meaning of life.
A celebration of life will be held at Moose Lodge in Elliot Lake on Thursday October 20 from 1-3 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Wilfred’s memory to the St. Joseph’s General Hospital Equipment Fund.
Many thanks to Dr. Groh and the staff of the Emergency Room and the Intensive Care Unit that gave Wilfred such excellent care and guidance to the family.
