Melicia June Shamas passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Jessie (nee Ritchie) Anderson and her beloved husband and best friend Fred T. Shamas. June is survived by her son Bob (wife Laurel), grandchildren Robin Shamas (husband Jeff Giovanatti), Rob Shamas and Ashley Shamas (partner Jason Major), great grandchildren Aiden Giovanatti and Ashtyn Schellekens.
June enjoyed curling, golf, and their cottages on Matinenda and Basswood lakes. June and Fred operated Stedman’s retail store in Thessalon from 1968-1990.
