Marion Seabrook Pic

December 27, 1942 – October 8, 2022

The world will feel like a smaller place without the great presence of Marion Seabrook, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 79. She was so much to so many. A loyal friend, an attentive wife, a doting Mother, a precious grandmother.

Predeceased by her husband Delbert. Marion loved her family fiercely and leaves behind to mourn, her 3 children; Peggy, Patsy Tousignant (Richard) and DJ. Her 5 grandchildren; Michelle, Maggie, Mayleah, Abbagail, and Odin. Plus, countless family members and friends.

Marion worked hard and played hard. In the 1970’s, she and husband Delbert, built from the ground up the iconic Delmar, which was an attraction for folks all over the North Shore. Whether it was riding the water slide or eating their famous chicken and Jojos, the Delmar was a place that Marion and Delbert were passionate about and it showed.

In the off season, Marion and Delbert loved to travel south. They also loved to fish and hunt and spend time with their grandchildren who played such an important role in their lives.

Marion could make a friend out of anyone. She always wanted to make sure your belly and heart were full and would do absolutely anything for those she loved.

Marion was always passionate about volunteering especially at the Algoma Manor, where she will be surely missed.

Her family was so very fortunate to have the best vacation this past summer. Marion brought all of her family together and for a week, they all enjoyed amazing dinners, evening fires, lazy beach days, game nights and unforgettable quality family time that gave memories to last a lifetime.

There are no words to explain how terrible this loss feels but we take comfort knowing that she passed after living an amazing, enriched life and that she touched the hearts of so many. She was the light of our lives.

Cremation and private burial have taken place, as per Marion's request. A toast to Marion's life will be held in the near future.

Donations may be made in Marion's name to the Algoma Manor Charitable Organization or NSHN-Thessalon Site.
