Blair Anthony Scott was born on October 26, 1964, in Pembroke, ON. He passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023, in Moose Jaw, SK. Blair was a man of faith, known for his generosity and his wonderful sense of humor. His life was marked by his dedication to his family, his work, and his faith.
Blair was the beloved husband of Kelly Scott and a cherished father to his children, David (Bri), Heather (Eugene), Jonathan, Andrew, and his stepson Cory Cameron. He was the son of Myrna Scott and the late Jack Scott and the brother of Sheldon Scott (Robyn), the late Phyllis Scott, and Kevin Scott. Blair was also a dear son-in-law to Lee and Donna Richardson and a brother-in-law to David Richardson (Judy), Brian Richardson (Rhonda), and Cheryl Richardson. He was a beloved uncle and cousin to many who held a special place in his heart.
Blair received his certification from the renowned George Brown College in Toronto, where he studied in the Piano Technology Program. During his time in Toronto, he worked as a Certified Technician at Robert Lowrey Piano Experts. Blair had the privilege of tuning pianos for notable figures such as Elmer Iseler, The Canadian Ballet Company, Johnny Cash, Barenaked Ladies, Frank Mills, Hagood Hardy, and most recently for the Regina Symphony Orchestra. Blair's passion for music was evident in his work, and he was respected by all who knew him in the industry.
In addition to his work in piano technology, Blair also graduated from Humber College and received his certificate in Funeral Services. It was while working at Parkview Funeral Chapel that he met his beloved wife, Kelly. Together, they purchased the funeral home, got married (in the funeral home!), and went on to share the best years of their lives together.
Blair's interests were as varied as they were numerous. He had a deep love for all types of music, which he often shared with his family and friends. He was also a skilled baker, known for his delicious sourdough bread. Blair cherished gathering with his family, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. He really enjoyed his morning coffee at Victory Church, where he was a valued member of the community. Blair's faith in God was a cornerstone of his life, and he was passionate about sharing the gospel with others.
Blair's life was a testament to his faith-filled nature, his generosity, and his humor. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. His legacy is one of love, dedication, and faith, a legacy that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Blair will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
