It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jacqueline Palm on February 8, 2022. Beloved wife of George Palm, loving mother of Cynthia MacLeod (Les) and Michael Palm (Christine), grandmother of Ashley Coventry (Jordan), Danielle Palm (Marty Beckerton) and Lindsay Fisher (Travis), great grandmother of Morgan, Bella, Autumn, Hailey, Joshua and Ellie, sister of Wayne Disch (Roberta). Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Marie Disch.

Jacqueline was born in Walkerton, Ontario where she attended Sacred Heart Elementary Highschool. She joined her new husband in the small mining town of Elliot Lake in 1960. Jacqueline graduated from the RNA nursing course at St. Joseph’s General Hospital and worked at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Dr. Cassar’s Medical Clinic, Dr. Moody and Jane Lyon Spruce Clinic. In order to spend more time with her parents and grandchildren, she changed jobs to work part-time at Canada Post.

Jacqueline was an avid skier and she and George skied at numerous ski areas across Canada, as well as Austria, including helicopter skiing in the Purcell mountains. She especially looked forward to their yearly ski trips with their three granddaughters. Jacqueline was an incredible wife, mother, Nanny and friend, touching the lives of all who knew her.

The family would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Manor for their compassionate care.
