MATTE, Jannice
June 1, 1948 – January 30, 2024
Passed peacefully at Blind River Hospital at the age of 75. Happily married to her best friend Francis for 57 years and eleven months. Mother of Walter, Todd, the late Jayson, Bridgette and the late Lee. Mother of fur babies the late Pocket and Bella. Fondly remembered by her brother Dale. Forever missed by her best friend and “partner in crime”, Bev.
Jannice was the most amazing nurturer who took care of everyone. She was adventurous traveling to Europe, snowmobiling and other such activities. She had a great appreciation for art and enjoyed painting and ceramics. Jannice was not afraid to live. To know her was to love her.
The family wishes to thank nurses Jamie, Jennifer and Anna as well as the rest of the staff at NSHN-Blind River for going over and above in caring for Jannice and her family.
A celebration of Jannice’s life will be held on June 8, 2024, at the Blind River Community Centre. Details will be announced.
