HORTON, Lila

Lila Horton (nee Bonin) passed away peacefully at Golden Birches Terrace on September 20, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Harold (Baldy).  Daughter of the late Archie and Laura Bonin.  Loving mother of Glenna Corbiere (Ken), late Deborah Thelland (Henry), Joe Horton and Jennifer Horton (Don Martel Jr.).  Survived by her daughter in law Marilyn Horton.  Cherished grandmother of Kristina Hallett (Tim), Nadia Richard (Darcy), Anya Corbiere (Rob Haugh), Spencer Thelland (Sarah Telford), Brianna Thelland, Renata Thelland (Kat Mackie), Adam Horton, Amy Dunn (Trevor), Holly Martel and Claire Martel.  Great grandmother of 11.  Predeceased by her 2 sisters and 5 brothers.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  We would like to thank Dr. Chad Workman, the nurses and PSW’s that took such good care of mom at NSHN Blind River.  A special thank you to Barb Lees who was a true friend to our mom over the years and our sister Jennifer who has taken care of our mom for over 10 years.  A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 189, 27 Hawkins Street, Blind River on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2-4 pm.  If wished, memorial contributions to Golden Birches Terrace Family Council or to Sick Kids Foundation at gofundraise.sickkidsfoundation.com In Memory of Lila’s Great granddaughter Catriona Rose Richard would be appreciated.
