Doug, 76, passed away quietly in the morning of 25 December 2021.
Beloved partner of Lesley, leaving friends and family including many nieces and nephews.
Doug’s kindness, curiosity and humour, his love of dogs and boating, his passion for news and information, science, geography and music guided him throughout his life. He experienced many areas of this country; working at first in mining exploration then earth/life sciences predominantly in Canada’s remote North. Eventually his work brought him to Algoma where he retired and continued to engage with people from all walks of life.
