HALL, Leon J.
December 20, 1944 – February 23, 2024
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Leon at Golden Birches Terrace-Blind River, at the age of 79. He joins his son Shane who passed away in 2023. Father of Darren (Tina), Chris (Karen-Lisa), Angelique McKenzie (Malcolm), Courtney Verhey (Justin), Nathan, Jordan (Taylor) and Jamie. Grandfather to 13 and great grandfather of 1. Brother of Eileen (Steve), Rowena (Gerry), Bernice and Eric (Brenda). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Leon was an avid dart player who played at the Blind River Legion for many years. He enjoyed euchre (and occasionally cheated), crib, bowling and being outdoors. He loved socializing and made friends wherever he went.
Leon was outgoing and friendly and always helped those in need. We will forever miss hanging out with our dad, his homemade bread and baked beans and his epic “one liners”.
The family wishes to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at Golden Birches Terrace, Bayshore Healthcare and NSHN-Blind River.
