August 21, 1927 – January 5, 2024
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad (Walter), while at Algoma Manor at the age of 96. He is now resting in peace with his wife of many years Joyce and his son Peter. He will be missed greatly by his surviving sons Timothy (Debbie) and John as well as his daughter Stephanie Trudell (Kevin). Grandad to his grandchildren Danielle (Wade), Tammy (Tony), Lance (Jackie), Margo and Steven and great grandad to 9. Survived by his brother Victor. He will be missed by many friends.
Walter and Joyce immigrated from England in 1962 in search of a better life. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm in Cloudslee where they raised their family and made many new friends. He enjoyed listening to classical music and watching sports, especially the Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He liked road trips with his sons while enjoying a Timmies coffee.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Algoma Manor who provided our Dad outstanding care. They also want to thank family and friends for their support.
Interment at Cloudslee Cemetery will take place in the Spring of 2024 with details to be announced.
