Passed away peacefully at the Algoma Manor with her beloved husband by her side. Best friend and wife of Walter for 74 years. Loving mother of Timothy (Debbie), Stephanie Trudell (Kevin), John, and the late Peter (Terri). Proud grandmother of Tammy Pepe (Tony), Danielle Wood (Wade), Lance Fass (Jackie), Sarah Forsythe (Ryan), Ryan Fryza (Cheryl), Margot Trudell and Stephen Trudell as well as many great grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by relatives and friends in the UK.
Joyce was an active member of the Plummer Additional community having served on numerous committees. She was involved in the Cloudslee United Church and often played the organ for Sunday service. She belonged to the UCW organizing and participating in the annual fall suppers and making quilts with the ladies in the local quilting bees. She was always ready to volunteer and willing to serve.
Joyce and Walter owned and operated a dairy farm in Plummer Additional for over 20 years. Despite being born and raised in a large city she easily adjusted to life on the farm and country living. She worked hard tending chores and raising her family.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Algoma Manor for their support and kindness.
Cremation has taken place. A private burial at Cloudslee Cemetery will be announced and held in the spring of 2023.
