CONWAY, Johanne Yvonne (nee Proulx)
May 31, 1956 – February 19, 2024
Johanne passed away peacefully surrounded by family at NSHN-Blind River at the age of 67. Loving partner of Dwayne Mercer. Treasured and cherished mother of Stephen (Melissa), Shawn (Terra) and Danielle (Dave) and stepmom to Kailee. Grandma Jo to Keegan, Destiny, Kayla, Helayna, Kylee and Harlee and step grandma to Keiden, Eve, Ryder and Taya. Great grandma Jo to Oakley. She will be forever missed by her siblings Sylvie (Mike), Alain (Aline) and Claudine (Kevin) as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Remembered by the Mercer family, Lillian (Ron), Greg, Tracey and Kelly.
Johanne has been joyfully reunited with her mom, the late Marie Belec (late Adrien Auger), father, the late Regent Proulx, as well as her late first husband Jim Conway and his mother Ruby.
Johanne was a die hard Habs fan. She enjoyed feeding her birds, watching her cows across the road, tending to her flowers and fishing. Spending time with family and being surrounded by their love was of utmost importance to Johanne. We will forever miss her laughter, smile and sense of humour.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at HSN-Sudbury and NSHN-Blind River. They especially want to thank the palliative care team at NSHN-Blind River with a special thanks to nurse Jennifer.
